MEASNET approved measurement procedures are based on the many years of experience
of the member institutes gained in their daily work. The developed and harmonised
measurement procedures are public and can be downloaded from the homepage of
MEASNET (www.measnet.com). For clients
it is important to know that MEASNET recognised measurements can be performed
only by members. The public access to the procedures allows everybody to see
which international and national standards and recommendations are applied.
At present, four measurements can be performed under the MEASNET quality criteria.
These are:
The growing importance of the world-wide wind market shows the need of additional
harmonisations in measurement and energy prediction procedures. MEASNET therefore
started the harmonisation processes for mechanical load measurements of wind turbines
and site assessments. Two areas of high importance for the further development of
wind energy and its sustainable application.
All agreed measurement procedures take into account the final and draft documents
of international organiŽsations, e.g. IEC, IEA and in addition results of related
research projects and other measurement experiences.
